In the German market, BSM and Pronav operate as two ship management centers within the Schulte Group, working in close coordination. BSMD manages a diversified fleet encompassing container vessels, bulk carriers, tankers, offshore vessels, and LNG bunker vessels, while Pronav specializes in the management of large-scale LNG carriers and Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs).

Martin Roolvink has served as Managing Director of Pronav since early 2019. During his tenure, he successfully guided the company through several key development phases and has been instrumental in deepening the synergies and operational integration with BSM following the Group’s acquisition of Pronav in 2018. With nearly 20 years of experience in ship management, he brings extensive expertise in commercial operations, technical management, and strategic planning.

Sebastian von Hardenberg, CEO of Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement, commented: "Martin’s appointment marks an important step for BSM in Germany and reflects our firm commitment to continuously strengthening our ship management capabilities in this market. With his extensive operational experience in complex vessel types and the outstanding leadership he has demonstrated during his time at Pronav, we are confident that he will lead the BSM Germany team to new achievements and drive sustainable business growth. As Nick Topham steps down from his role as Managing Director in Germany, we extend our sincere gratitude to him for his exceptional leadership and significant contributions over the past eight years, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

The acquisition of Pronav in 2018 represented a strategic milestone for BSM. By integrating specialized LNG ship management expertise, BSM further enhanced its business structure and has since continued to expand its managed fleet. Today, BSM manages over 700 vessels globally across key commercial shipping sectors, including container vessels, bulk carriers, tankers, offshore vessels, and gas carriers. Within its gas carrier segment, BSM manages more than 50 large-scale LNG carriers, nearly 30 LNG dual-fuel vessels, and five LNG bunker vessels.

Looking ahead, under Martin Roolvink’s leadership, BSMD and Pronav will further deepen their collaborative synergy and advance organizational integration. At the same time, existing client service teams and day-to-day points of contact will remain unchanged, and current projects and services will continue to be delivered without disruption.
